International Women's Day Celebration

Loyola University New Orleans through the Office of Professional and Continuing Studies (PACS) is hosting its 4th annual International Women’s Day event, which will be held on Tuesday, March 10th, 5PM - 7PM, in the St. Charles Room on Loyola’s uptown campus. International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality. 

Our panel discussion, Women Leading the Beat: Give To Gain, we’ll explore how this theme comes to life through leadership in music, culture, education, civic engagement, and community-building. The conversation will be reflective and conversational rather than scripted, highlighting real experiences, lessons learned, and the ways giving — in all its forms — has shaped each of your leadership journeys.

Speakers for the event include Michelle Clark Payne of Women United, Councilmember Lesli Harris, Eugenie "EJ" Encalarde of Festival Productions, Inc. (New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival), Alison Fensterstock of WWOZ, Brittany Mondrinos of Lunascend, LLC., Kate Duncan of Loyola University New Orleans School of Music Industry, and Dr. Sheryl Kennedy Haydel of Loyola University New Orleans College of Music and Media.

PACS is celebrating its 8th cohort of the highly successful Women’s Leadership Academy, as well as the upcoming 4th cohort of Young Women's Leadership Academy.
